    Physician & Provider Recruiter

    Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

    The Physician/Provider Recruiter is responsible for the successful recruitment of Physicians and Advanced Practitioners for UnityPoint Health. The recruiter will collaborate with the Quad Cities market to execute a recruitment strategy to identify and secure providers. This position will assume responsibility for all facets of recruitment including sourcing, screening, candidate presentations, scheduling interviews, and candidate follow-up.

    Responsibilities

    • In partnership with market leadership, recriut physicians and advanced practitoiners to the identified market(s) in accordance with organizational needs
    • Screen, refer and evaluate qualified applicants for practice opportunities within the organization and oversee the coordination of all reference checks and documentation of information on candidate
    • Coordinate itineraries for all candidates being interviewed for a potential position. Ensure itinerary gives the candidate and family a comprehensive overview of the practice, organization, benefits and compensation, as well as the community.
    • Follow-up with candidates after visit to ensure all questions have been answered.
    • Source candidates utilizing established databases and coordinate with other system-wide Physician Recruiters to ensure consistency of communication to candidates.
    • Ensure contracts are executed utilizing system-wide processes and policies
    • Establish and maintain working relationships with local and national medical residency programs.
    • Coordinate relocation for provider and family, ensure timely completion of employment information (i.e., signing bonus, employment forms, credentialing information, etc.) and oversee arrangements for new physician/provider orientation.
    • Ensure physician/provider and family have necessary contacts and information for assimilation into new community.
    • Maintain provider relationships through follow-up meetings with new providers.
    • Carry out the organization’s retention programs and activities.
    • Assist Director of Physician and Provider Recruitment of Physician/Provider Recruitment with special projects, reports, analysis of information, etc.
    • Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other’s views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Physician and Provider Recruitment to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of Physician/Provider Recruitment.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or public relations field or related experience
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience at a high-level recruiting position preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Experience exercising initiative, judgment and decision-making.Experience establishing effective working relationships with provider staff, support staff, upper management and vendors
    • High commitment to detail, accuracy and follow through
    • Strong computer skills
    • Ability to work as a team member
    • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures
    • Exemplary knowledge of hospital systems and physicians
