This position will begin as a 12-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 12 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 4 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.

Compensation:

We offer flexible pay and time-off packages to suit different preferences. You may choose one of the following:

•$23.00/hour – No paid time off (PTO)

•$22.00/hour – Includes 5 days of PTO (accrued)

•$21.00/hour – Includes 5 days of PTO (accrued) and 7 paid holidays

•$20.00/hour – Includes 10 days of PTO (accrued) and 7 paid holidays

Overtime is paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a week. If converted to direct hire, you will be eligible for a significantly expanded PTO package.

Benefits:

•Available (medical, dental, 401k, vision, etc) – benefit eligibility begins 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.

•PTO – Availability depends on the pay/time-off option you select. PTO is accrued over time.

Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to hire an Administrative Assistant. This role will take place at one of our major parts distribution centers which handles, stores, and ships service parts for our vehicles to dealerships and customers in the region. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to support plant-level leadership and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys being the go-to person on a team. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in office technology and scheduling tools. In this role, you will have frequent interaction with internal staff and external contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager and Personnel Director

•Monitor and manage department mailbox

•Maintain and distribute monthly meeting calendar

•Send meeting invites through Outlook

•Submit payments and track bills

•Receive product in SAP

•Maintain and update the organizational chart and internal phone list

•Schedule and manage conference room meetings

•Order and update employee ID badges

•Coordinate food orders for plant visits and celebrations

•Assist with new hire onboarding

•Submit salary overtime reports

•Provide backup coverage for other administrative staff (e.g., Dealer Liaison, Quality Supervisor, MR Supervisor, IC Clerk)

Requirements / Qualifications:

•High school diploma or GED is required

•Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or office support role

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

•Strong typing and data entry skills

•Experience managing calendars and scheduling meetings

•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment / Other Info:

•This will be a day (1st) shift role – Monday to Friday. Typical hours will be 8:00am to 4:30pm (but there will be some flexibility). This is a 100% on site role. There will be no travel in this role.

•This role will generally work 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime is possible. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.
