The Role
We’re looking for an SEO Growth Manager/Specialist to scale Linktree’s organic presence, optimize for emerging search paradigms (including AI-generated search results, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and TikTok SEO), and reduce paid media dependency. You’ll own technical SEO, AI-powered workflows, backlinking strategies, and conversion optimization, ensuring organic search drives meaningful user acquisition. This role requires deep expertise in SEO for AI models (training/inference visibility), AI-driven automation, and programmatic SEO. What You’ll Own - Optimize site structure & performance – Improve indexing, structured data, page speed, and overall technical SEO enhancements.
- Lead Linktree’s AI-powered SEO strategy – Optimize for traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery models (LLMs, AI-generated search results, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and TikTok SEO).
- Implement AI-driven workflows to scale SEO – Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, programmatic SEO techniques) for content optimization, keyword research, and automation.
- Develop a high-impact backlinking strategy – Acquire and manage quality backlinks to increase domain authority and visibility.
- Align SEO with broader growth marketing – Work cross-functionally to integrate SEO with content, paid, and product initiatives.
- Monitor & iterate based on SEO data – Analyze key SEO metrics, report insights, and implement data-driven optimizations.
- Educate & communicate SEO advancements – Act as a subject matter expert for AI-driven SEO, educating internal stakeholders on new opportunities and best practices.
Who We’re Looking For - 5+ years of SEO experience – Proven track record in increasing organic traffic and improving search rankings.
- AI & Automation Proficiency – Strong experience using AI tools (e.g., programmatic SEO, LLMs, generative AI, Python automation) to scale SEO efforts.
- Technical SEO expert – Deep experience with structured data, indexing, site architecture, and page speed improvements.
- SEO for AI & TikTok – Understanding of how AI models interpret and surface search results, plus expertise in optimizing for TikTok’s search algorithm.
- Execution & Scaling Mindset – Ability to take SEO experiments from test to full-scale execution with automation.
- Leadership & Communication Skills – Ability to educate internal teams on AI-driven SEO shifts and communicate strategy effectively to executives.
- Hands-on with SEO tools – Proficiency in Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and similar platforms.
- Data-driven mindset – Ability to analyze SEO performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborative & adaptable – Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams.

Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $135,000-$145,000 USD in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate expertise, the scope of role and level, and may vary from the amounts listed above. P.S. Where And How We Work We are a global and diverse group offering a truly flexible and family friendly work environment.
