Job Title: Server
Department: Service-Casino or Service-Cycle Room
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager or Dining Room Manager

FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
General Summary: The Server provides table service to members and guests by taking orders
for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that members have a
pleasant dining experience.
Essential Functions:
- Greet members as they are seated at the table; ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided conforming to the standards of excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness
- Distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
- Fill glasses with iced water and suggest menu items
- Place orders with the kitchen; inform cooks about any special cooking instructions
- Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offer suggestions on daily specials and wine selections
- Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to members’ satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen
- Remove soiled dishes; clear tables after each course and reset them with appropriate silverware
- Prepare members’ checks and collects payments; handle all member charges and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Collect plates and clear the table as members finish their meals
- Advise the manager of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Assist with other tasks such as cleaning the dining area, breakdown of displays or side stations, and preparing silverware and condiments

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Well-organized with the ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
- Excellent knowledge of food, wines, and spirits
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems including printing and closing checks
- Basic math Skills include the ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations
Requirements
Educations/Experience:
- High School diploma or higher
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
- Minimum of one year of comparable food and beverage service experience

Environment: This position operates in a hot, humid, and somewhat noisy environment.
Physical: The employee is frequently required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time,
reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, or kneel. The employee must push, pull, lift, balance,
and carry trays of food up to 30 pounds repetitively. The incumbent must be able to perform
the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
Hearing: The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g.,
conversation with members, medical codes, or alarms).
Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral
information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers
