Job Title: Private Chef

Location: Miami, Florida

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule:

• 5 days a week, 1pm - 8pm
• Flexibility required for weekends and family gatherings
• September to May in Miami
• Potential travel to New York during summer months

Salary:

• $300 - $500 per day
• Annual salary range: $100,000 - $150,000

Job Description: A distinguished family in Miami is seeking an experienced and innovative Personal Chef to provide high-quality culinary services. This role involves meal planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation for lunch and dinner, serving meals, and cleaning up the kitchen after meals. Additional meals will be required when entertaining guests or hosting family gatherings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating exciting dinners, particularly with a focus on Asian, French, and Italian cuisines, and skilled in preparing fish, oysters, and shellfish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meal Planning & Preparation: Design weekly menus featuring light lunches and exciting dinners with a focus on Asian, French, and Italian cuisines.
• Grocery Shopping: Source fresh, high-quality ingredients from local markets and specialty stores.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve lunch and dinner daily, ensuring meals for the weekend are ready to be reheated.
• Entertaining Guests: Create additional meals for family gatherings and when entertaining guests, accommodating up to 6 people.
• Kitchen Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning up after meals.
• Special Requirements: Prepare meals with low salt content and ensure beautiful presentation for every dish.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Personal Chef or in a similar culinary role.
• Expertise in Asian, French, and Italian cuisines.
• Proficiency in preparing fish, oysters, and shellfish.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent presentation and plating skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Pleasant personality with the ability to gauge when to engage in conversation.
• Flexibility to travel and work additional hours as needed.

Additional Information:

• The chef will be catering to the principal and his assistant primarily, with occasional visits from the family, including two children and two adults.
• The position offers time off after family visits and gatherings.
