Absolute Staffers LLC   is seeking a skilled and reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our team for placement at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury in Danbury, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions and medication orders issued by medical staff.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Manage pharmacy inventory including restocking, tracking expiration dates, and processing supply orders.
• Maintain compliance with Bureau of Prisons (BOP) regulations and formulary.
• Assist in administrative duties such as logging and organizing medication records.
• Support pharmacist in preparing reports and patient education materials.
• Ensure safe and secure handling of all medications within the correctional setting.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a clinical, hospital, or correctional facility setting.
• Experience working with adult patients and managing controlled substances preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Pharmacy Technician training program .
• Active Pharmacy Technician Registration in the state of Connecticut.
• CPR Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Ability to pass a comprehensive federal background check , including fingerprinting and drug screening.

Schedule & Benefits

• Work Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Paid Time Off (up to 80 hours annually)
