We are actively hiring a Recruitment Specialist / Physician Partnership Support at the Flourish Research site in San Antonio! This site is formerly known as Clinical Trials of Texas.

The Recruitment Specialist assists in identifying and qualifying study participants for Phase I, II, III, and IV clinical trials, with a strong emphasis on phone-based outreach and relationship-building with community physicians and clinics. This role involves frequent inbound and outbound calls, supporting patient enrollment through careful screening, documentation, and scheduling. Additionally, you’ll develop partnerships with healthcare providers to generate study referrals and be actively involved in Flourish’s community-facing recruitment initiatives.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM and required 1 Saturday morning a month shift
Compensation :  Hourly Pay based on experience plus performance bonuses

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Conduct phone screens with potential study participants using protocol-specific inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  • Make at least 30 phone calls per day, and maintain a weekly goal of 5 qualified participant screens.
  • Schedule participant visits and maintain accurate documentation in our research database.
  • Enter detailed medical history and demographic information into a computerized system.
  • Follow up with no-shows, update documentation, and ensure timely communication with candidates.
  • Support the prescreening process and educate candidates on the risks and benefits of clinical trial participation.
  • Participate in physician outreach efforts, including tracking partnership success and generating referrals.
  • Communicate general study information to community physicians to identify qualified study candidates.
  • Leverage EMRs and internal databases for identifying potential study participants.
  • Attend and support recruitment events including health fairs, open houses, and other outreach initiatives.
  • Participate in internal training sessions and meetings to stay updated on protocols, compliance, and regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other recruitment-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong professional presence and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort in a call center setting with high daily call volumes.
  • Excellent communication abilities both on the phone and in writing.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet-based systems.
  • Comfort navigating EMRs and working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Proactive, dependable, and passionate about patient care and research.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in clinical research or a biological research setting.
  • Prior experience in patient recruitment or similar outbound/inbound calling roles.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical research protocols.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and physician referral tracking systems.
