Skilled Maintenance Technician II - Colorado Springs Airport The Colorado Springs Airport is ready to welcome a Skilled Maintenance Technician II to their dynamic team! As a Skilled Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various systems, including electrical, HVAC, and mechanical, ensuring efficient facility operation through regular inspections and preventive maintenance in support of the Colorado Springs Airport.

Hourly Salary: $28.54 - $34.27 Hourly
Work Schedule: Full-time, rotating schedules to ensure coverage for a 24-hour operation facility. This includes weekdays/weekends, mornings, day, and evening shifts. Subject to on-call, emergency call-out and seasonal duties such as snow removal
Pre-Employment Requirement: The selected candidate must pass (or have already passed) a fingerprint-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration. As a Skilled Maintenance Technician II, You Wiil - Perform the full range of skilled maintenance and technical duties, including the design, construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of buildings, structures, devices, and systems
- Perform skilled carpentry, finished carpentry, electrical, electronic, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, irrigation, and welding work
- Estimate time, materials, and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as needed
- Complete assigned work orders and tasks; maintain logs and records of work performed, and file reports as required
- Assess new projects; design and layout projects; and ensure proper and efficient completion of tasks
- Perform field inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to City policies and work plans and designs
- Participate in the Airport's snow removal program

Minimum Qualifications - Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
- Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field

- Airport facility maintenance experience, including baggage inspection systems, jet bridges, etc.
- Journeyman level experience in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
- Possess, or willing to obtain within 12-months of hire, and maintain a valid non-probationary Colorado Class B CDL not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
