Information Assurance Engineer - Mid

Our client, a growing federal contractor is seeking a mid-level Information Assurance Engineer with an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility for a long-term DoD program at Fort Belvoir, VA.

The selected candidate shall conduct assessment and inspections per the prescribed observation method and will not be accessing the computer systems physically. The projected workload includes the execution of up to 12 Cybersecurity Reviews annually, each consisting of one to seventeen technology areas. Reviews shall be conducted primarily on-site at Continental United States (CONUS), Outside Continental United States (OCONUS), and DoD mission partner locations. However, mission requirements may allow for virtual reviews conducted from DTRA Headquarters (HQ)

Tasks:
- Assessment areas: Reviews shall align with the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF). These reviews assess compliance with Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), STIGs, DoD policy, Cyber Tasking Orders,
and Operational Orders.
- Traditional Security Reviews: assess the overall security posture of an organization, including personnel, information, physical, industrial, and counterintelligence security, as well as overall
security management. These reviews shall follow the Traditional SRR Checklist, and all results shall be entered into Government-designated tools or repositories
- Vulnerability Scans: prepare and assemble the required vulnerability scanning package prior to execution. This includes approval forms and essential documentation. Scans shall be conducted in accordance with the current Vulnerability Scan Procedures Guide and any official guidance provided via electronic or verbal communication. Internal scans shall cover all site-managed network spaces from the premise router inward. Technical Security Readiness Reviews (SRRs) shall utilize the appropriate STIG/SRG and automated tools or scripts

This is a proposal effort and the award is expected end of September with a go-live date within 45-days of award. The selected candidate will receive a contingent offer.

Required Skills

- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
- Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Must have one of the following IAT Level III certifications (CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH
- BS Degree in STEM field and 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting Cybersecurity Reviews & Assessments and Vulnerability Scans
- Open to travel CONUS/OCONUS
