I have an immediate need for an in-home college Managerial Accounting tutor in San Marino near the corner of N Granada Avenue and Afton Road. The student is a junior attending Pasadena City College and majoring in business. He needs to work with a tutor for assistance for his ACCT 001B: Managerial Accounting class.
He has ADHD, so would benefit from working with a tutor who can provide a fresh perspective or unique approach to a better understanding of the concepts, especially as it relates to the steps involved in problem solving, and sharpening his critical thinking.
It would be quite helpful if the tutor can provide some additional practice in how to apply these principles to the student's homework and test prep.
The student's goal is to obtain some ongoing support throughout the semester so that he can maintain a steady performance and solid grades.
The student wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, either between 10am-1pm or between 4pm-9pm weekdays Monday through Friday. He is also available all day Saturday; 10am-9pm.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: ACCT 001B: Managerial Accounting (4 units, C-ID: ACCT 120)Principles of managerial accounting. The use of accounting information in decision-making, planning, directing operations and controlling. Focuses on cost terms and concepts, cost behavior, cost structure and cost-volume-profit analysis. Includes issues relating to cost systems, cost control, profit planning, and performance analysis in manufacturing and service environments.
