RJM Construction is looking for an HR Intern with high potential, who is ready to own their impact in the HR department. As an HR Intern you will learn how to promote and maintain positive employee relations and various insights into HR. • Employee relations, retention and engagement
• Recruiting/events
• Onboarding and orientation
• DEI, Professional Development and other Committee work
• HR data analytics
• Compensation and payroll
• Compliance
• Performance management
• On the job HR tasks and initiatives
• HR initiatives and continuous improvement through an intern project

Preferred Education:

• Pursuing a degree in HR, HR Management, Labor Relations, or a related field OR have completed a degree/certificate in HR.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding HR matters, including, but not limited to payroll, benefits, and employee issues
• Experienced with Microsoft (Word, Excel, and Access). Paycom/HRIS systems a plus

• Accurate, organized, and detail oriented
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication and editing skills.
• Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information encountered
• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization
• Ability to take initiative on assigned tasks
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team, manage time, organize and accurately prioritize work across multiple projects and work within deadlines
