Job Description

**Schedule:** The hours for this position are 3-11pm. Come join Medical Center Enterprise where we believe in the power of people to create great care! The Supervisor will act as a clinical resource for the patient population in the ED. They will maintain competencies to provide or assist with clinical care. The Supervisor will participate in educational processes related to delivery of healthcare. They will foster professional development of others via constructive performance feedback, input and coaching. They will foster collegial relationships between team members, other departments and medical staff. They will drive and effectively facilitate: admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure efficient and safe patient flow through collaboration with physicians, interprofessional team, hospital leadership and staff. The Supervisor will participate in achievement of organizational and departmental goals and will be responsible for leading the Stroke accreditation process. They will support plans for system and unit change, support regulatory agency readiness, monitor activities within the work environment to maintain a culture of safety and demonstrate commitment and flexibility through times of change. The ED Supervisor will practice proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. They will be responsible for the reporting of employee, patient, visitor injuries or accidents or other safety issues to the ED Director and in the occurrence notification system.
