Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Renowned restaurant group is seeking a Director of Events to oversee the business development and sales strategy for the company as well as support event production and execution. This position will understand, communicate, and align respective brand vision across all restaurants and drive a cohesive communications and branding strategy. Foundational to this role is a strong understanding of company background, culture, identities, mission statement and philosophy. Experience selling both onsite and offsite events (including weddings) is critical. We prefer candidates that have a robust network of local corporate and independent clientele, but we will also consider strong candidates outside the area. An impenetrable spirit of hospitality is required.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Sales focus on new business and expanding existing clients in Private Dining and Events Operations
  • Setting sales goals and expectations for private dining and catering/events departments and personnel, evaluate sales data and financial performance, historical and actuals via CRM.
  • Responsible for the financial cycle of all events and restaurant private dining and maintain accurate financial records of private dining programming.
  • Complete all event pro forma’s, develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Communicate with all prospective and confirmed parties on estimates, deposits, and final payments in conjunction with the accounting department.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through regular communication and reach out.
  • Be the ambassador for the company at events, meetings, networking events and other forms of communication.
  • Be a consummate hospitality professional with all clients and stakeholders.
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing/sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives for private dining/events and catering services.
  • Develop all sales material and collateral pertaining to private dining, catering and special events.
  • Develop contacts and maintain a tracking system to ensure on-going relationship with existing client base and the development of future clients.
  • Attend site visits as needed
  • Coordinate rental orders as needed
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors as needed
  • Maintain and recruit an active roster of service staff and staff offsite events accordingly.
  • Mentor and support all Events Managers to grow their programs.
  • Support operations and Events Managers as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong sales and events background with luxury brands
  • Local experience preferred but not required
  • Proven experience in a relatable role
  • Michelin and/or Forbes 4 or 5 star experience preferred
  • Heart of hospitality
  • Team leadership experience.
